What you send us

When you use the contact form or the free website check, we receive what you type: your name, your email, your website address and your message. If you came from one of our ads, a free check request also notes which of our campaigns sent you and whether the link came from a Google or a Meta ad, but not the ad's click code. With Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track on, it notes neither. We use it only to answer you and to do the work you asked for. It is not sold, shared for marketing or added to a mailing list.

We keep messages only as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of work we agreed. Ask us and we delete them.

What we count without cookies

Our own measurement counts page views and a few actions, such as pressing the email link or sending a form. It sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device and sends the counts only to our own server. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is counted.

If you came here from a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) ad, our server may report your visit to Meta. It does so only while we have a Meta ad account connected, and only when your link carried the click code Meta adds to its ads.

Meta then gets the page address, what you did (page views, opening a case study or a live site, reaching the contact section, pressing a contact, email or WhatsApp button), the click code, your IP address and your browser's user agent. It goes from our server to Meta. Visitors from anywhere else are never reported to Meta.

Cloudflare, which delivers this site, runs its cookieless Web Analytics on the pages.

Game leaderboards

When you finish a game under /play/ and choose to save your score, we store the nickname you pick, your email address and the score. The game also sends its moves, so our server can replay them and check the score is real; the moves are not kept. To slow down abuse we keep a code made from your IP address with a secret key, never the address itself. The code changes every day and is removed from saved scores after 7 days.

Your nickname, score and rank are public on the boards. Your email is never shown on the site and never leaves our server. We use it to contact you if you win a prize and to find your scores when you ask us to delete them. Showing your score is the service you ask for when you save it (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).

News is a separate box, unticked unless you tick it. Only if you do may we write to you about new games, on the basis of your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

Daily boards are deleted after 90 days and weekly boards after about a year. Your nickname, email and scores stay while you keep playing and are deleted after 24 months without a saved score. A game you never save is deleted after 7 days. We keep a record of what we told you and what you agreed to, under a code instead of your email, as proof of consent.

To delete everything at once, use Delete my scores in the game: you enter your email, and the game proves the address is yours with a key it received when you first saved a score. The game keeps that key, your email and nickname in your browser's storage on this device only. Deleting removes your nickname, email and every score. The same form stops the news only, if you prefer. Lost that browser, or found your address used by someone else? Write to hello@scorvia.studio and we delete it by hand.

The games use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person is playing. It runs when a game starts and when you save a score, and Cloudflare handles that check under its own privacy policy.

Cookies that need your consent

None, today. This site does not use Google Analytics or Google Ads and sets no cookies, so it shows no cookie banner.

If we ever add them, their script will load only after you press Accept in a cookie banner, and this section will say so before that happens.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@scorvia.studio and we answer within one month. You can also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta (idpc.org.mt).

Tell us what you are building.

One project at a time, a fixed fee against a written scope, and you keep the source code and the rights. Write in English, Polish or Spanish.
