Every movement has a reason
Our rule for interfaces fits in one line: a design system where every movement has a reason. Nothing on the screen moves to fill a silence.
UX is the part a user feels but rarely sees. It covers what the product asks for first, where a person ends up after a mistake, and how many steps stand between them and the thing they came to do. UI is what they look at while that happens: type, colour, spacing and the states of every control.
We design both together. A beautiful screen in the wrong order is still the wrong screen.
- Product design for startups: the first version of the screens, scoped so it can be built.
- App UI design: phone layouts, states and touch targets, checked on real devices.
- Dashboards: dense data that stays readable on a normal working day.
- Design systems: tokens, type, components and motion rules, written down so your team can extend them.
Proof you can open
SASKHO is an interior design practice whose owner gets motion sick from scrolling effects. Her site has no scroll effects at all. One reveal per section, switched off under reduced motion, and it still does not look plain.
The retrieval demo is an in-house interface you can operate in your own browser. Drag a pair of thresholds and the route changes under your hand. It is a studio piece, not client work, and it shows how we make a complex system readable.
How a design project runs
- Call and scopeA short call about the product and its users. You get a written scope, a fixed fee and a delivery date before any work starts.
- Flows firstWe map what a person does on each screen before drawing it, so the layout follows the task.
- Interface designKey screens and their states, reviewed with you directly. No account manager sits in between.
- Design systemTokens, components and motion rules collected into one place your developers can build from.
- HandoverYou receive the design files, the system and the rights. If we build it too, the source code comes with them.
Questions about UI and UX design
What is the difference between UI and UX?
UX is how a product works for the person using it: the order of steps, what happens after an error, how quickly they reach their goal. UI is the visible layer: layout, type, colour and controls. We design them as one piece of work.
Do you deliver design files and a design system?
Yes. You receive the design files for every screen in the scope and a design system with tokens, components and motion rules. They are yours to keep and extend.
Can you redesign an existing app or dashboard?
Yes. We start from what your users already do in the product, keep what works and redesign what slows them down. The written scope says which screens change.
How long does a UI/UX project take?
The delivery date is agreed in the written scope before work begins. A handful of screens and a full product with a design system are different amounts of work, and the scope states which one you are buying.
How much does UI/UX design cost?
Each project is quoted as a fixed fee against a written scope, after a short call. We do not publish a price list. You have the number in writing before anything starts.
Do you work with clients outside Malta?
Yes. The studio is based in Malta and works remotely with clients across Europe.
